Wu-Tang Clan and Chess. Two not-so-great tastes that, surprisingly, taste great together.

Remember yesterday, and our story about a little game called Limbo of the Lost? If not, let me recap: Limbo of the Lost blatantly ripped off the highly publicized, highly successful The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Well, in light of this act of failure of the highest degree, the game’s publisher, Tri Synergy, has pulled the game. They also say that they had no idea that the hacks at Majestic Studios stole level designs and artwork — which means that they are either blind, or simply refused to believe.
Tri Synergy is just as shocked as everyone else is by the recent screenshot comparisons. At no point during our dealings with Majestic Studios up until the point that the comparison was first publicly made by a third party did we have any knowledge of these similarities. Additionally, Tri Synergy will discontinue distribution of Limbo of the Lost in both retail and online outlets.
We have contacted the developer, Majestic, and are anxiously awaiting their response. As soon as we know more on this matter we will issue another statement.
If you thought that the thievery stopped with Oblivion, however, you’d be wrong. In fact, here is just a partial list of games that Limbo of the Lost takes “artistic inspiration” from:
Oh, but wait, the story gets better — the trailers for the game also lift from Hollywood pictures, such as Spawn and Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End.
All I can say is that you guys at Majestic better run to the hills and never stop, because I’m pretty sure that the developers and publishers of the games (and possibly the MPAA) you ripped off are going to come down on you with great vengeance and furious anger.

Limbo of the Lost a point-and-click game that you’ve probably never heard of or will ever hear of after this, looks like it has blatantly stolen some assets and environments from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
