Stretch Panic is a strange acid trip from Japan. Which, of course, means that it is a pretty awesome game. Why has no one played it?

The last Monday of 2008 did not disappoint… no, I don’t mean it didn’t disappoint with the news, I meant it didn’t disappoint me. I love slow news days.

You want to hear something that will make you shit bricks? Okay: Data compiled by Enterbrain shows that for the first time ever, the Xbox 360 has outsold both the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

…okay, enough absorption. The data won’t be available until Friday, but Enterbrain’s figures show that following stock replenishment coupled with price cuts, the Xbox 360 saw a surge in sales.

So what are the figures for each of the consoles? For the week ending on September 14th, 2008:

1. Xbox 360 – 28,681
2. Nintendo Wii – 27,057
3. PlayStation 3 – 8,050

The sales of the 360 were undoubtedly helped by the release of Infinite Undiscovery, which sold just under 87,000 units in the past week.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a huge hit around the world, and in Japan the game has outsold everything else combined, 2-1.

Harmonix has announced that they will be bringing Rock band to the homeland of rhythm gaming, Japan. No word yet if it will cost a mortgage and/or kidney.

Famitsu has released their list of top games from 2007, and you’ll never believe which console has the best library, and which has the worst.
