After living 4 years in the harsh and alcohol-soaked catacombs of university life, Richard Schupp emerged to find himself with a degree in professional writing (a piece of expertise that would forever be looked upon with scorn) and a $50,000 hole in his wallet. To compensate, he worked in a department store and loathed every minute of his existence until James Walker came riding on the wings of cyber-space angels, ten cigarettes in his mouth, a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a Confederate flag clutched in the other, unfurling in the wind.  And He said unto him, “Write for Binge Gamer. We can’t pay you, but you can get into game conventions for free.” To which Richard replied, “‘kay.” And off he and the rest of the Binge Gamer crew (who just appeared out of nowhere at that second) flew into obscurity.*
