Earlier this month it was reported that LucasArts had axed some staffers working on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and it was rumored that these firings was just the beginning of a process LucasArts was undergoing that would halt all internal development — a rumor LucasArts denied.

Earlier today, it was reported by Joystiq that LucasArts had fired even more staffers after one ex-member of the team, who wished to remain anonymous (of course), told them that there had recently been more cuts.According to the source, those laid off were long-time staffers who had been with the company since the days of X-Wing and Full Throttle.

However, Kotaku was contacted by another LucasArts employee, who also worked on The Force Unleashed, who says that the layoffs mentioned by Joystiq weren’t recent, and that there haven’t been any additional firings since the initial report earlier this month.

There is still, however, one question that remains: When LucasArts fires you, does your pink slip say “May the force be with you”?
