id Software announces “Doom 4″; editor squeals in delight

The bitch is back, though if you called any of these guys a bitch they’d probably kill you. The point is that id Software has announced that they have begun work on Doom 4. Said Todd Hollenshead:

Doom is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next installment of our flagship franchise to Earth.

It’s critical for id Software to have the best creative minds in-house to develop games that meet the standards synonymous with our titles.

What Hollenshead is basically saying is that id Software is hiring. If you’re a prospective game designer, here’s your chance to not suck and work on a Grade-A title.

Remember kids, id Software’s annual QuakeCon is being held on July 31st — I imagine we’ll learn new info then.
