Amazon, GameStop claims March 2, 2009 release for God of War III

Here’s something for you PS3 fanboys to get excited about: both Amazon and GameStop are listing the upcoming hack-n-slash God of War III for a March 2nd, 2009 release date. Sure, Amazon, GameStop and every other retailer posts release dates that wind up being wrong all the time, but it’s still pretty interesting to see both GameStop and Amazon with the same listing.

It should be noted that the the March 2nd release date is well earlier than the previously speculated release date, which was sometime in Q4 2009. However, until Sony confirms the release date, we’ll just chalk this up to wishful thinking.
