Resident Evil 0 Wii Bound?

I think it’s safe to say that Resident Evil 4 on the Wii was a smashing success. The over-the-shoulder combat made a flawless transition from gamepad to Wiimote. In a way, it seems that Resident Evil 4 was made for the Wii.

But what about Resident Evil 0? According to Famitsu, Resident Evil 0 will be making the leap from the NIntendo GameCube to the Nintendo Wii and, according to the Famitsu article below, will control exclusively with the Wii Remote.

Naturally, you’re probably asking yourself what I asked myself when I first read this: How the hell are they going to pull that off? After all, Resident Evil 0, while absolutely beautiful to look at and still a blast to play, but still used the ancient still-camera gameplay that so many people came to loathe. It doesn’t exactly make it a prime candidate for the Wii treatment.

Unless RE:0 is undergoing a much more radical makeover than people are expecting. Could RE:0 be getting the RE4 treatment? God, I hope so. But alas, only time will tell.

According to Famitsu, Resident Evil 0 will be released for the Wii sometime this summer.
