Uwe Boll’s Postal Opening on Four Screens

If you were one of the dozens of people who were looking forward to seeing Uwe Boll’s latest epic (failure) Postal, you may be waiting around for a while. Why? Because Postal is releasing on a grand total of four screens.
Uwe Boll said through a press release that distributors are boycotting Postal due to its political content. Boll says they’re afraid to air the movie.
Theatrical distributors are boycotting Postal because of its political content. We were prepared to open on 1500 screens all across America on May 23rd. Any multiplex in the U.S. should have space for us, but they’re afraid…
We have even tried to buy a few screens in New York and Los Angeles, and they won’t let us even rent the theaters! I urge independent exhibitors to contact us and book ‘Postal’! Audiences have been expecting the film and I don’t think exhibitors should censor what gets played in U.S. theaters.
I have a theory as to why Uwe Boll’s movies are no longer getting a wide release: They’re a waste of time and money! Quick, name a Uwe Boll movie that has actually turned a profit! …go on… I’m waiting… nothing? A shame. What makes this worse is that Boll continues to make movies based on video games that, no matter how you twist it, are just terrible when his original works are actually kind of good.
Yes, I said Uwe Boll has made a good movie. It’s called Seed and while it is undoubtedly a B-movie, it’s a good B-movie.
