Parents Neglect Children, Blame Games
As you may know by now, video games are to blame for everything. From the crash of the real estate market to gasoline topping $4.00 to a baby’s salty, lollipop-flavored tears, video games are to blame for all of lifes problems and we should all throw responsibility right out the window. Our latest example takes us to Tampa, Florida where a couple of responsible, stable individuals have just been nominated for “Parent of the Year” awards for mother and father, respectively.
Lavon and Christina Rowells, who look like they haven’t been sober since the Lightning won the Stanley Cup, but are also parents of a 3-year-old and a 2-year old, were arrested on two counts of child neglect each. You see, the wonder twins here left their kids to roam aimlessly around the motel they were living in for several hours before somebody had the foresight to call the damn police. When the police went to the room the family was staying in, they found that there was trash strewn all over the room, as well as piles of vomit.
For that fresh, acidic scent that we all so love, to be sure.
At first the couple tried to play it off by saying they had gone to the store, possibly for baby formula or Wild Turkey. Once the parents were taken into custody, they changed their story. You see, rather than going to IGA to get food or trash bags, Lavon got bored sitting in his motel room and being a responsible parent, so he decided to go see his wife at her work — Fantasy Dolls strip club, where she was the *gag* main attraction. After his wife got off… work… the couple went over to a friend’s house to play video games.
So how in any way does this justify the treatment of his children? Lavon explains:
When you play video games, you get focused on that.
Oh, of course! Well that just makes everything fucking peachy then, doesn’t it? Never mind that you shouldn’t have left the motel in the first place, or even that you were living in a motel with your wife and two children, it’s all rationally explained away by the fact that this fuckbean was in the zone.

What can I say?
When your IN THE ZONE your IN THE ZONE!! >-)
All joke aside: I had to live in a motel room when I was homeless, I did not like it but I had to. I lived in a motel room for a bit over one year, until I got the money saved up for the move in cost of an apartment.
Living in a motel is NOT a crime but the disgusting conditions that they were keeping a child in and and blatant neglect IS a crime, not only by law but a crime to the children their were raising.
I hope they got the kids taken away from them.
