Call of Duty 4: Over 9 Million Served

According to just released figures from NPD, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has surpassed the 9 million sold mark. While this is certainly an impressive feat, it is by no means a surprise since Call of Duty 4 was one of the most anticipated and acclaimed title of the past year.

Some other numbers that were crunched by fourzerotwo include over one million downloads for the Variety Map Pack on Xbox LIVE in the first nine days, and over 30 million logged hours of play on CoD4 Online. In fact, the success of the Varity Map Pack has already broken several Xbox LIVE records (in addition to the service itself).
