It may not seem like much of a shock to any of you, but loose talk has it that Microsoft and Turn 10 are either in pre-production or early development on Forza Motorsport 4.
In an email with the title “The most obvious news ever”, a source with intimate knowledge of the situation* has informed us that Microsoft and Turn 10 are actively hiring for the next installment of the wildly successful Forza Motorsport franchise. Considering Forza Motorsport 3 has sold over two million units since its release in October, news of another entry shouldn’t surprise anyone.
The source went on to say that while nothing is set in stone, people shouldn’t be surprised to hear some sort of “official” announcement in the next “several weeks.”
We’ve sent out emails to Microsoft in hopes of clarifying this rumor, though let’s face facts — “Microsoft does not comment on rumor or speculation” is probably the order of the day.
*Man, that phrase makes this sound a lot more serious than it really is, doesn’t it?

I can’t even imagine a Forza 4, Forza 3 is absolutely mind blowing, the physics alone are so perfect its hard to imagine them improving them without a major leap in hardware technology.

howabout the fact tha Forza 3 is actually out and it’s a great racer. And also the fact that forza 2 and 3 came out before GT5 and they’re both AAA. How is a game that sells 2 Mil in 2 months a flop? Yep, yep. Just like any FPS that have sold less than Halo 3: ODST is a flop. Sales don’t always equal quality you know.
PS: Forza 2′s sold over 4 million as well and Forza 3′s bound to do the same in about 1 year.
Flop Hell NO! Just the best handling race game I’ve ever played! FM 2 was like driving on an ice rink compared to 3 and I still enjoyed 2! When and if GT5 hits I’m sure it will be very good but I’m also sure it will disappoint some who have waited lo these 5 plus years for the mother of all racing games! After initial love I’m sure there will be detractors as there always are as you can’t please everyone, though after 5 years waiting I doubt they’ll be there at first as it will be a love-in no matter how it really plays! Just waiting for more tracks in FM3!

Sales numbers alone do not make something the best. I don’t care if Gran Turismo titles out sell Forza titles, because to me, Forza games are better and more enjoyable than Gran Turismo games. That’s my personal opinion, and at the end of the day… that’s all that matters.

obv resistance 3 is comin, killzone 3 is comming… now lemme replace those 2 games, with games that are getting re-boots.

and yes, alan wake looks good for a xbox game, but xbox are behind the times now, ps3 is the new ‘hot suff’ ‘on the block’ around here, and well, everywhere, has outsold the dying xbox everymonth worldwise since september when the price drop dropped…’ and there are teasers above or below i dont know….one thing i do know, is how **** xbox’s are. they are not even good an electric fire…i mean dude, there only a tenner in walmart, if you want a heater, try one of those.

Improving Forza tire-physics come first into mind, which need bit work in my opinion. I’m not sure consoles have enough calculating power for real simulation, but these semi-simulation games are pretty good now.
I’m not saying that next Forza or GT should be full sims (which they arent), but adding realistic damagemodelling, mechanical failures, tire flatspots and so on would be nice.
And adding bit more “feeling” into game. Maybe AI drivers could have photos (like faces) and that kind of stuff.
And one thing I dont like in Forza. There’s seven (too low) AI racers in race, but why only one or two have competitive cars and the rest drive way too slow cars?
