While limited editions in America have just come to prominence over the last few years, Japan is no newcomer to shipping games with loads of extras and oftentimes useless paraphernalia. Thanks to Aksys Games, the American game industry has reached a new high (or low, depending on your standards of good taste).
Record of Agarest War (you know, the PS3 download-only title that will be a whopping 10 GB) is shipping onto the 360 this Spring with a “Really Naughty Limited Edition” set.
Besides the game itself, the limited edition will include:
- a “Naughty” collector’s box
- game soundtrack with female character in sensual pose
- “Yearning Ellis” pillowcase
- a “Sensual Vira-Lor” mousepad
In all honesty, the pillowcase isn’t too shocking. But let’s take a moment to talk about that mousepad: You know how some mousepads have special gel comfort cushions? And do you see where Vira-Lor’s breasts are positioned on the “Sensual Vira-Lor” mousepad?
Yeah…
For further proof that this may be the end of the credibility of videogames as an art form, just check out the advertisement for the set.
It’s a brave, new world.
