If sinking your teeth into Cave’s last shmup, Mushihimesama Futari Ver. 1.5, wasn’t enough for you when it was released last fall, then get ready. Cave is unleashing Espgaluda 2 Black Label on the Xbox 360 next week. And it’s another region-free deal.
Of course this only pertains to the Regular Edition of the game, so if you want that special faceplate you’re shit out of luck. No love lost, though. We who import still get to play a new Cave shooter, and that’s all that matters.
In typical Cave fashion, this is a vertically-scrolling, bullet-hell game with cutesy-character designs, huge bosses, and an unforgiving difficulty. Just how we like ‘em.
For those of you who aren’t down with the import scene, you may have heard that Aksys Games will be publishing Cave’s 2007 gothic-themed, horizontal shooter Death Smiles for the 360 in North America. So show Cave some kind of reciprocation for all this sweet, sweet love by grabbing a copy of that when it’s released later this year.
Espgaluda 2 Black Label hits Japan February 25.

EDIT: Aksys Games, not XSeed, will be releasing Death Smiles in North American. My bad.

I don’t get it, Trinity Tidwell
