Here are some gaming/tech/geek contests going on this week. I’ve tried to weed out any “contests†that are really scams to get you to sign up for programs that charge your credit card, stuff like that. Check back every Sunday for more contests and giveaways!
Ending Monday 7/20:
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game for PC at The Mom Reviews – It’s a solid game, and they have two copies to give away.
- $25 to Wal-Mart at Budget Saving Mom – Ok, $25 won’t buy you much…but every little bit helps toward your next game purchase.
Ending Tuesday 7/21:
- USB Mouse Handwarmer at Mama’s Money Savers – Because, you know, sometimes one’s fingers get chilly while clicking the mouse.
Ending Wednesday 7/22:
- Kajeet Cellphone at Shop with Me, Mama – The cell phone you’ll win is a Samsung m300. It’s no iPhone, but it’s not a bad deal.
- My Healthy Cooking Coach for DS at Mommies with Cents – This isn’t a game per se, but it can teach you how to cook on your DS. If you win it and don’t want it, send it to me. Insert kitchen jokes here.
Ending Thursday 7/23:
- Pingo Prepaid Calling Care at Stacie Vaughan’s Blog – Four hours of free international calling. You know, in case your woman lives in Canada or something.
Ending Friday 7/24:
- Dawn of Discovery DS Game at Daily Game – It’s even enough to enter for this one, and the game looks decent.
Ending Saturday 7/25:
- Cell Block Z by Ghostface Killah at Sweeps 4 Bloggers – I don’t usually list books here…but the writer’s name is Ghostface Killah. Obviously, this book must be good.
- Keurig Coffee Maker at The Giveaway – Real gamers drink coffee. Lots of coffee.
- DVDs at A Bookworm Mom’s Diary – There are a ton of giveaways right now, all ending 7/25/09. On the list: The Universe, The Prehistoric Collection, Cities of the Underworld, Military Combat, How the Earth was Made, America at War, and Stealing Lincoln’s Body. If you love History Channel and Discovery Channel stuff, this is the site for you. All the links are at the top of the homepage.
Ending next week and beyond:
- Fight Night Round 4 at Maxium – There are probably a ton of entries, but it can’t hurt to try. Ends 7/27/09.
- Norman Phartephant at LI Kids – Ok, normally, I wouldn’t list a stuffed animal here…but really, who among us wouldn’t secretly love to have a Plush Farting Elephant. Ends 7/27/09.
- VTech Cordless Phone at Mommy PR – If you’re one of those people who still has a landline, here’s a snazzy phone you can win. Ends 7/27/09.
- Michael Jackson: The Magic,The Madness,The Whole Story at True Crime Book Reviews – For those of you who love the King of Pop, this site is giving away 5 copies of this book. Ends 7/28/09.
- Ice Age Video Game for Wii, DS, and Xbox 360 at Our Ordinary Life – All you have to do is comment to win. Ends 7/30/09.
- Music Ace Deluxe at The Dirty Shirt – It’s a pretty cool music creation program for your PC. Ends 7/30/09.
- Xbox 360 and One Year of Live at The Celebrity Cafe – This is more of a sweepstakes than a contest or anything, but I thought I’d mention it since the prize is awesome. Ends 7/31/09.
- Trip to Comic-Con 2010 from Sony – Again, another sweeps, but come on…the prize is worth trying! Ends 7/31/09.
- $50 Amazon Gift Card at Freebies and Much More – Tons of entries, but $50 to Amazon could pay for a few used games for ya. Ends 7/31/09.
- Heated Mouse at Warm Mouse – Weird product…but useful, especially during the winter. Ends 8/2/09.
- $100 Wal-Mart Gift Gift Card at Coupon Dad – $100 can buy at least one game, maybe two if you go for Wii titles. Ends 8/15/09.
- DJ Hero at Metrowize – You can choose your favorite console, but you have to register at the site to win. Ends 9/1/09.
