Short list this week due to technical difficulties, but there are still some great prizes this week.

Here are some gaming/tech/geek contests going on this week. I’ve tried to weed out any “contests” that are really scams to get you to sign up for programs that charge your credit card, stuff like that. Check back every Sunday for more contests and giveaways!

• Bricks4Ever Xbox Live Game at VGN – After you DL the trial, you have to write a short review. That will enter you for a chance to win the full game.
• Portable Laptop Desk with Lamp at Eighty MPH Mom – If you’re like me, you take your lappy everywhere, so this portable desk will come in very handy.

Ending Wednesday 8/5:

• The CinemaCube HD Multi-media Player and BitTorrent Downloader at The Dirty Shirt – Binge Gamer doesn’t endorse illegal dl’ing, but we do endorse free stuff like this downloader.
• Sprint HTC Snap Phone at The Dirty Shirt – Another great giveaway from this website.
• Harry Potter Clue Game at She Scribes – Board games? Those things still exist?

Ending Friday 8/7:

• $20 Amazon Gift Card at My Mom’s View – Canadians only!

Ending Saturday 8/8:

• Ghostbusters: The Video Game at Be A Game Tester – There’s a little spin on this comment contest and the site owner will pick a winner rather than it being random, but its a great prize, so check it out.

Ending next week and beyond:

• $25 Amazon Gift Card at Jolly Mom – This one is US-friendly. Ends 8/10/09.
• $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card at Coupon Dad – $100 can buy at least one game, maybe two if you go for Wii titles. Ends 8/15/09.
• Nextar I4-BC GPS at The Mom Buzz – It looks like a pretty decent GPS. Ends 8/15/09.
• Heated Keyboard Pad at Warm Mouse – This heated pad will keep your fingers toasty as you game during those long winter nights. Ends 8/19/09.
• DJ Hero at Metrowize – You can choose your favorite console, but you have to register at the site to win. Ends 9/1/09.
