Tuesday Tunes: Video Game Girl

If you didn’t know, G4’s flagship program and bastard stepchild of TechTV classic The ScreenSavers, Attack of the Show, celebrated it’s 1,000th episode back on July 9th. As part of the 1,000th episode celebrations (which included Tom Green being Tom Green and flashbacks to G4TV.Com [the show]) the show premiered the new video from Parry Gripp called “Video Game Girl”.

For those of you who are unaware, Parry Gripp is (was?) the lead singer of the incredibly underrated band Nerf Herder. If you ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you’ve heard their music instrumentals. If not, I suggest listening to either “Mr. Spock” or “Van Halen“, because Van Halen One really was the best damn album I’ve ever owned.

Obviously you’re going to notice the absurdly gorgeous Olivia Munn in the video, but pay close attention to who is playing drums in the video.

Oh, Captain Immy. You’ve come so far from the days where you were fetching Scot Rubin’s coffee and calling up assholes like me before a Friday taping to remind us not to be the very assholes that got us on the show to begin with. You, good sir, are, were and will continue to be as awesome as the Taco Town taco. Only less “guacamole-y”.

Also, congrats on 1,000 shows.
