Update: I’ve announced the winners on our Twitter account and have sent direct messages to the lot of ya. Thanks, for playin’, folks. Your kind words have made it far easier to part with such sweet swag.
E-mail me with your shipping info to claim your prize.

Grand Prize - Complete, in-box copy of Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest (NES) signed by the Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe. Both the box and the cart itself boast the man’s signature, and it even includes one of those black dust covers. Neat!
Oh, and if you win, I’ll e-mail you the high-res pictures of him signing the stuff too, so you can pretend you were there.

First Prize (2) - Each first prize winner will receive an autographed, 2009 Charisma+2 calendar signed by Adelle Starr of Gametopius.com.

You probably think I’m mad for doing such an amazing giveaway. Hell, I bet you’re thinking:
That Perry Piekarski’s a crazy fool. Just a straight up loon. Should be committed, he should!
And you’re probably right. How can I give away such an absurdly awesome set of swag?
Don’t worry, you’re not alone in thinking I’ve gone off the deep end. So far, I’ve had at least two people call me an idiot for doing this, saying they’d keep it for themselves if their feet filled my shoes. And I totally understand why.
So why don’t I keep it for myself?
I’d actually prefer not to talk about it, because giving this away is painful enough as it is.
A bit of background on the prizes:
On May 3rd, I had the pleasure of meeting James Rolfe of AVGN fame at the Too Many Games convention in Leesport, Pennsylvania. While there, I had the bright idea of picking up a boxed copy of Simon’s Quest and having him sign it so I could give it away here on Binge Gamer. Those familiar with the Nerd are already aware that this is the first game he’s ever reviewed, so there’s a lot of sentimental value to this if you’re a fan.
But that’s not all. Two lucky First Prize winners will be getting a signed Charisma+2 calendar. I had the privilege of chatting with the lovely Adelle Starr, writer for Gametopius.com/Charisma+2 model, and she was more than happy to sign a couple calendars to give out to you guys. Good people, she is.
But seeing as this is such an emotionally trying giveaway, I’ve decided I’m not going to make it easy on you. Okay, so it won’t be all that hard either, but you are going to have to work for it.
Here’s what I need from you, so pay attention:
- You have a Twitter account? Good. Follow us @Binge_Gamer. If you don’t have one, then start one and follow us. And if you’re already following us, you’re ahead of the game.
- You have two options: A) Comment this post or B) shoot us an e-mail at contests@bingegamer.net with the subject line “Too Many Games Swag Giveaway”. In your comment/e-mail, tell us the name of your Twitter account (so we can confirm you’re following us), and then tell us your favorite thing about the site. I don’t care if you lie or even just make shit up. I just need something to mend my broken heart when I finally box this up and ship it off to the winner.
- Remember, if you decide to enter via e-mail, you must have “Too Many Games Swag Giveaway” as the subject line, or the entry is invalid. Sorry peeps, but that’s just how I roll.
The winner will be chosen at random using a super computer that works off an alogorhythm so perfect, the results will be as random as humanly possible (actually, I’ll just be using Random.org). I’ll contact the winners myself using my very own personal e-mail account (which is a prize in and of itself).
I’m taking entries until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 18th—meaning you have two weeks to enter. I’ll be announcing the winners a few days after that, so check back with Binge Gamer regularly to find out if you’re one of ‘em.
Only one entry per Twitter account, please.
I also ask you to keep in mind that the copy of Simon’s Quest is nearly 20-years old, so there’s obviously a bit of wear and tear to the box. I’ll do my best to package all the prizes as safely as possible when shipping, but I’d like to avoid an angry e-mail claiming the prize is damaged. The game itself is in great condition and worked great when I tested it on my NES toploader, so if you want, you can even play the damn thing.

My favorite thing about the site is that it seems to have a unique perspective on the gaming world, it isn’t vanilla & boring like other websites.
