As you may or may not be aware, World of Warcraft is kind of popular. In fact, at last check there were eleven million residents of Azeroth. Naturally, with such a large and active user base you would imagine that a few “celebrities”, mythical demigods who neither shop in our stores, live in our mortal realm, or poop, would be sucked into the game as well.

One of these “celebrities” is first ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ winner Adrianne Curry, whose prefers to play World of Warcraft in the nude and high as a kite. And for those of you who doubt that she would dare to play WoW while in the buff, she posted this tastefully done pic of herself at her PC on the interwebs:

If you were to judge by the reaction from gaming* websites, you would think that this was a massive news item worthy of front page headlines and constant N4G bumping.

You know, games “journalists” love to climb upon their rickety soapbox and preach about how gaming journalism will never be taken seriously so long as objectivity and the general aura of “serious business” is not maintained. Yet, the first chance they get to show a woman on their homepage, they jump at it without hesitation. The problem with gaming journalists is not immaturity, but hypocrisy, and the only group of people lower than the slime who exploit these kinds of images for hits on their blog are people who bitch about… those…

*Inc Gamers also published a list of known celebrities who play WoW. You know who is not on that list? Will Arnett. Because Will Arnett is too busy playin’ Modern Warfare 2.

While sleeping with beautiful women, who may or may not be playing World of Warcraft at the time.
