‘Stalin vs. Martians’ looks to be Game of the Year*

We don’t cover a lot of game announcements, but when the game in question is called Stalin vs. Martians: The Unknown Pages of the Second World War Game of the Year Edition, it tends to grab your attention.

So what is Stalin vs. Martians: The Unknown Pages of the Second World War Game of the Year Edition? It’s an arcade-style Real-Time Strategy game that promises to do away with the tedium of resource gathering and that ever-pesky “realism” games strive for nowadays in favor of a fast-paced, lighthearted romp in the Russian wilderness as you try to protect the motherland from the clutches of an alien invasion.

In addition to a twelve-mission campaign and gameplay that will be easily accessible to those who don’t necessarilly play RTS games, the game promises… and I quote… “Incredible Russian electronic soundtrack and wild music-video intermissions”.

I shit you not. After you watch the trailer, you will see that they are dead serious about the Russian electronic soundtrack:

Nevermind the techno. Nevermind the dancing Stalin. The fact that the two main alien types shown in the trailer are the aliens from Toy Story and Max Rebo is more than enough to justify buying this game when it comes out in April on the PC.

I’m pre-ordering that game right now! It looks totally a funny joke of the Command & Conquer series XD
It’s already certain this will worth more than the price (which is quite unexpensive via Steam).
