SCEA: PS2 Will Live Through 2010 (at least)

ps2-silver

The PlayStation 2 will never die. Ever. Yesterday it was reported that the PS2 had surpassed the fifty million mark in North America and now, today, SCEA director of hardware marketing and 1997 Palm Springs Beat Boxing champion* John Koller has made it clear that the PS2 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

With the lineup for 2009 and 2010, the PS2 is not going away anytime soon.

There really is no two ways about it. The PlayStation 2 will outlive us all and with games like Guitar Hero: Metallica, Ghostbusters and, of course, the million and four EA Sports franchises that tend to infect every console on the market, the PS2 will have plenty of games for it to feast on for a long, long time.

*Not really, but that would be awesome
