Russia Recalls Modern Warfare 2

Considering the subject matter of one of the early levels, is there any surprise that the Russian government is none too pleased with Modern Warfare 2? Sure, the fact that they’ve issued a mandatory recall for all copies of the game may be going a tad far, but when one pulls their head out of their ass and looks at the big picture, you could’ve seen this coming a mile away.

According to HellForge, who cites a Russian website, the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 was issued a patch that removes the “No Russian” level from the game and it is highly expected that edited console versions of the game that lack the aforementioned level will be introduced to the Russian marketplace.

Now if somebody could just remind our vokda-swilling friends that “No Russian” is an optional stage that the player can skip…
