UPDATE: Activision has finally gotten around to responding.

Remember that cute chick who was offended at the idea of killing dogs in Call of Duty: World at War? Well, that young lass now has some major backup in her corner.
I am, of course, speaking of the animal rights activists domestic terrorist organization PeTA.
In a statement released to GamePolitics, those People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals express their disgust:
Not since we were pitted against Nazi attack dogs when we first escaped from Castle Wolfenstein 17 years ago have we seen such barbaric treatment of dogs in gameplay as we did in Call of Duty, World of War.
To help the folks at Activision Blizzard learn about the ethical treatment of animals, we’re offering to let them take PETA’s “Developing Empathy for Animals” free of charge and are sending a package of Nintendogs games to their office.
Obviously they’ve yet to play Fallout 3. In fact, come to think of it I’m pretty sure there is a montage of people shooting dogs in Fallout 3, set to “Tah Rah Rah Boomdiay”, and if not… there should be.

Wow, PeTA has no live has it?
As a vegetarin and dog owner I can’t say I feel awful for killing pixel and polygons.
Am I supposed to feel ashamed every time I kill a [digital] dog in Fallout xD?
Personally, i’d prefer it if I had the option to turn dogs off – not have them in the game, so i don’t have to deal with them to start with.
I don’t feel like its immoral to kill a dog in the game, or that anyone’s actually gonna go out and kill dogs. I just don’t like the horrible sounds they make, or the blood that comes, when they die. It genuinely disgusts me.
I dunno… there’s something about animals in particular
