‘Mushroom Men’ dev not impressed with ‘Deadly Creatures’

Red Fly Studio lead developer Dan Borth has some fightin’ words for Rainbow Studios and their upcoming Wii title Deadly Creatures.

See, Red Fly Studio worked on the Wii title Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars. Honestly, it’s one of the most fun Wii titles that I’ve played. But that’s not importantly. When Borth, the lead designer on the game, was asked by MTV about Rainbow Studios’ Deadly Creatures, Borth was less than pleased:

I have heard about Deadly Creatures. I have many opinions on that game, especially how it came into being right after THQ received our pitch document for Mushroom Men. I will let you draw your own conclusions.

I’ll refrain from saying if Borth has a point or not simply because I have no idea how the concept of Deadly Creatures came to be. All I’m hoping for is that Rainbow Studios delivers a kick ass Wii game to go alongside Mushroom Men.

Lord knows the Wii needs ‘em.
