Age of Conan is one of those games that, no matter what you say about it, just does not get the love it deserves. It is a damn fine MMO that is geared towards adults, but like so many other MMOs out there it can’t get out from under the bloated shadow of World of Warcraft.

Maybe this will help.

From now until January 1st, 2010, anybody who signs up for a new trial account with Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures will be able to play the game for as long as their heart desires, with two small caveats:

• 1.) You can only explore the (rather large) island of Tortage.
• 2.) You can only level your character up to Level 20.

…of course, in MMO terms level 20 is a pretty hefty investment.

Listen, I don’t personally vouch for too many non-The Club related video games on this website. However, if you have a PC that is in any way more capable than mine, I urge you to give Age of Conan a fair shake. I promise that if you’re over the age of fifteen you’ll like what you find.
