
For those of you who aren’t aware, the Game Audio Network Guild is a non-profit orgnization that is dedicated towards the advancement and recognition of those responsible for audio in video games.
Last week, during GDC, G.A.N.G. held their seventh annual award show which highlights the best in game audio for the year that was.

Industry veteran and agent to many top video game composers, Bob Rice, was the recipient of the G.A.N.G. Lifetime Achievement Award. Rice has been involved with video games since the early 1980s, where he was instrumental in the development of the first “music game”, 1983’s Journey. Since then Rice and the composers he represents have worked on games like World of Warcraft, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect, Lineage II, Prince of Persia and Crysis, along with countless others.
