GameX 09 gave us a chance to talk to a lot of fantastic people. One group that stood out to me in particular was the folk representing 2BeeGames, an indie gaming site where developers can submit their own works for users to play at their leisure. After submission, users can vote for their favorites. The prize: winning developers get to see their game published to consoles. It’s sort of like “The Prize” in Highlander, only with far less decapitation. Damn.
Long story short, James and I had the chance to interview Tony Tran of 2BeeGames and developer Terence Lee, the creator of Storm, an upcoming title for the XBLA, PSN, and iPhone. Good people. See them and their awesomeness in the interview below:
Honestly, I think what these guys are doing is a great service to the industry. There are a lot of great devs out there who aren’t getting the recognition they deserve; this is a great way to bring these talents to the forefront and add some fresh blood an industry filled with GTA clones and WWII-based FPS games.
Check out 2BeeGames at the link righ’ then thar’. All the games are free to play, some working off Flash while others will download right to your PC/Mac. Hell, even sign up on the site and vote while you’re at it.
