GameTrailers’ Top Ten Fighting Games

The people over at GameTrailers decided that they would put together a top ten list of the greatest fighting games of all time. While each game on their list is certainly respectable, it’s far from perfect. But first, let’s all watch it together:

I’m sure we’ll have our own list of the best fighting games before too long, but until then let’s keep with the above list:

1.) How Killer Instinct is only #10 is beyond me. Yes, it’s been a nearly 15 years since it’s last entry, but it still holds up damn well today and has, by far, the most loyal following of any fighting franchise on the list.

2.) No Dead or Alive at all? Really?

3.) Maybe I’m the only one who remembers this game, but the original Dynasty Warriors was an excellent fighting game for the PlayStation.

Now I’m not saying that this is a bad list — just that it’s a cheap list. A safe list. But what else can be expected from a segment that’s the second most popular Top Ten list series on your own damn website?

This is a really great top ten list, but you’re right, NO DEAD OR ALIVE?!?! Anyone can post their own list to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.

  2. Where the hell is SSBB!?!?!?!?

Get with the times, these are all old, shitty games!!!!!!!!!!!!
