GameStop to Offer Girlie Mags With ‘Fitness’ Purchases
You ever hear something that is just so damn weird that you can’t help but not believe it? Well, I have, and now so have you: GameStop is offering subscriptions to Cosmo as part of their new “Sharpen the Mind, Shape the Body” promotion.
You see, if you buy a fitness game such as Wii Fit or Brain Age, or spend $35 or more on fitness games, you’re given a free 12-issue subscription to a magazine of your choice… so long as it’s Cosmo, Marie Claire, Redbook, Good Housekeeping or O Magazine.
Now this is obviously a ploy to try and get more women into their stores, but there are two questions that must be asked. 1.) Does GameStop really think they can seduce women with a free year of Marie Claire? 2.) Don’t most women already have a subscription to ‘O’? DOH HOHOHOHOHO…
