If you are still playing Age of Conan, you’ll want to pay attention. Funcom, Age of Conan’s publisher, and Xfire have announced that on Monday, December 7th there will be a live gameplay demonstration of Rise of the Godslayer, the latest Iron Maiden album expansion pack to Age of Conan.
Beginning at 3pm EDT/12pm PDT, developers of the game will both present and play the demo of Rise of the Godslayer, which will be streamed on Xfire’s website.
Craig Morrison, game director and executive producer, is understandably excited.
We have been working on the expansion for Age of Conan for quite some time now, and everyone on the team is eager to lift the veil and include the public in what we are trying to bring to life. Development is coming together nicely, and we are really excited to see the empire of Khitai coming to life! Doing a live demo on Xfire is a brilliant way for us to reach out to a broad audience and show just what they can expect from Rise of the Godslayer as we continue to move closer and closer to launch.
Rise of the Godslayer will give players the chance to visit the many regions of Khitai, which if Funcom keeps with the lore of the books, will be full of forests and swamps. While no exact date has been announced, we can expect to see Rise of the Godslayer sometime in the first half of 2010.
