E3 2009: Comprehensive List of Release Dates

Updated: 6/15/09 (Keep in mind that this is a list of games that were featured at E3 – not every game coming out is on the list!)

Every year, E3 is a whirl-wind of announcements, and personally, I always look forward to finding out the release dates for some of the most anticipated games. Some of these are announced before E3 and just hyped at the show. Others are brand-new announcements during press conferences and at booths. In any case, I’ve created a comprehensive list of release dates for the games featured at E3 this year.We have to know when we’ll be spending out money, right?

I’ve undoubtedly missed some, so if you notice one that’s not on the list, comment below. Of course, these dates are, for the most part, extremely dynamic – meaning that if you’re reading this list past June 2009, some of the games may have different release dates.

Wasn’t Dynasty warriors at E3? Isn’t it supposed to release in late June..?

  2. PacoDG says:

I just posted your list on NeoGAF, but while browsing other threads seen this http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364351 (might want to check what is on that list versus your list … but then again I’m not sure what from that list was shown at E3)

  3. Reef says:

Metal gear solid: peace walker.. 360 and PC?

  4. tce says:

  5. shaiyan-plop94 says:

  6. PixelJunk Shooter’s looking to have a Q3 2009 release date.

Oh, and a perfect plug for my hands-on preview: http://www.bingegamer.net/e3-2009-preview-pixeljunk-shooter/

That should be up in a few minutes. Waiting on Youtube so all y’all can see some sweet gameplay footage.

  7. spate says:

Mind making a version of that for people who are colorblind, and/or have a difficult time making out the difference between the shades of brown for DS vs PSP on their poorly calibrated and squint-inducing high-resolution monitors?

  8. Jacob Mark says:

Any word at all when I can play as Jeff Gordon (or at least race nascar) in Gran Turismo 5?

  9. Raj says:

I went to GameStop 2day and asked about the release of Assassin’s Creed 2 on the Wii. They said that it hasnt been announced for the Wii. I even went to the official website and on the bottom, they only have the icons for xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

How sure are you that it will be released for the Wii? Was it actually announced for the Wii at E3? I would love it if it did get released for the Wii.

    • Allison Boyer says:

      Raj,

That was either a mistake on my part or a mistake by one of my sources – at this point, I’m not sure at this point. During E3 week, there are so many announcement made that it is really easy for wires to get crossed. That’s why I’m glad people like you are actually leaving comments here to help me keep this list as updated and correct as possible! Thanks for stopping by with your comment (and yes, hopefully the game WILL come out for Wii, though I’m not holding my breath).

  10. chibi says:

ummmm…isn’t Kingdom Hearts 35/2 days released August 31st???
