Bethesda Learned Some Lessons With ‘Fallout 3′

If anybody from Bethesda is reading this, believe me when I tell you that I love you guys. If you don’t believe me, go back and listen to the old episodes of “The Bender” and count the times I say I’m still playing Oblivion. With that said, the more Todd Howard talks about the “mistakes” with Fallout 3, the more pissed off I become. Not because he’s admitting mistakes, but because Bethesda isn’t fixing those mistakes for all gamers.

Speaking with MTV Multiplayer, Bethesda’s Todd Howard admitted that there two key issues with Fallout 3 that he took lessons from. Those lessons?

Don’t let the game end, and don’t have a level cap.

I’m glad to see Howard realizes that these were boneheaded decisions (especially after Oblivion). However, acknowledging these errors only means so much if PlayStation 3 owners are still left out in the cold. Which, come the release of Broken Steel in March, they will be. If Bethesda wants (or is contractually obligated) to keep all the DLC on the 360 and PC, that’s all well and good. But let everybody have the end game fix.

And for all you long-time readers, yes. I’m going to bitch about this every chance I get until the gaming equivalent of justice is served.
