GDC continues! Hideo Kojima gave his keynote speech in which he more or less held the entire room hostage (jokingly, of course) and, of course, more news came out of the conference.
Oh, not to beat a dead horse, but after March 27th “Best of the Rest” becomes “Best of the Week” and promises to be THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE NEWS RECAP IN THE WORLD, or my name isn’t Jebehiah Whitfield.

Finally, the Game Developers Choice Awards were held last night. Much to my eternal joy, Fallout 3 was named “Game of the Year” and was also given the award for “Best Writing”. However, the game that took home the most awards (four) was LittleBigPlanet, which took home the awards for “Best Game Design”, “Best Technology”, “Best Debut Game” and the “Innovation Award”.
Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear franchise, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Harmonix co-founders Alex Rigopulous and Eran Egozy were honored with the Pioneer Award, and acclaimed video game composer and founder of Video Games Live, Tommy Tallarico, was honored with the Ambassador Award. Congrats to all four gentlemen.
