Every year comic book shops and all the great publishers try and garner interest in the medium of comics (which have taken over the storylines in most our movies and plenty enough of video games). Still, even though Batman and Wolverine are household names, there still seems to be a lack of interest in the source material. With comics going for four bucks a pop now in days, even myself, who loves comics, can sometimes fall behind and forget to hit the local comic store. Consider today (Saturday) the day to get your ass out of your computer chair and into your local shop to pick up a free comic!

Just so you know, the comics offered are not crap or worthless, in fact, I just checked the list.. it includes big hitters such as Avengers, Simpsons, Wolverine, Savage Dragon, Star Wars, there is even a Transformers/GI Joe split issue, so make sure to check out and support your local shop!

Note: I have no clue why I use the word “shop” instead of “store” when referring to comics. When I wrote this up, I noticed it at the very end and cannot explain it, for this, I am sorry.
