15-Year-Old Lit on Fire Over Gaming Debt

Fifteen Year-Old Burning Man

This is one of those stories that frankly make you sick. Fifteen year-old Michael Brewer currently rests in a Florida hospital after five of his classmates beat the lad down, poured rubbing alcohol on him and lit him on fire.

Now, you’re probably wondering what this kid did to deserve being lit on fire. Well it all started over a $40 debt regarding a video game that Brewer had not paid the accused. In retaliation for not paying the gaming-related debt, one of the gang of five stole Brewer’s father’s bicycle. Brewer, displeased with the theft of his dad’s bike, informed police of the robbery and later that day the bike was found and the thief apprehended.

That next day, a Monday, neither Brewer or the gang attended class. Instead the gang decided to camp out at Brewer’s apartment complex before jumping him, shouting “he’s a snitch!” and “pour it on him”! as they doused the kid in rubbing alcohol on Brewer and lit him on fire.

After another resident of the apartment saw the event taking place, he put the kid out with a fire extinguisher before Brewer ran and threw himself into the complex’s swimming pool.

Brewer sustained burns over 80% of his body and is listed in serious condition. The sherriff referred to the crime as “indescribable”.

On behalf of everybody with a single shred of decency, I hope all five of these kids get eaten alive in Federal pound-you-in-the-ass prison.

Where in the name of all that is good were the parents of those little bastards?!? How could they possibly think such behavior was acceptable?!?!? I mean, I caught heat if I was late with money I owed someone growing up, but I never got so much as a beatdown, much less anything like THIS! (The beatdowns I received were for completely unrelated reasons, FYI.)

Please keep us posted on where this case goes, James. I hope the victim will be okay. . .
