Voice of Solid Snake Wants to Pen MGS Movie Script

David Hayter IS Solid Snake. Anybody who has played a single Metal Gear Solid title will tell you this. Hell, Hayter’s popularity amongst the fanbase is so vast that Konami even had him come in to voice Snake’s papa, Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. So, considering his deep involvement in story since the inception of the first MGS, as well as his previous screenwriter credits (read: X-Men, X2), you’d think Sony would give Hayter a shot, right?

WRONG! Sony will have none of that “logic” we all enjoy.

But you see, Mr. Hayter wants to pen the script, and is adament that he at least be given an audience with Sony. In fact, he is so passionate about writing the screenplay that he has come to us, the fans, to plea his case.

In a posting on the IMDb message boards, Hayter tells us how we can convince Sony to give him a shot:

Alex,

Thanks so much for your message. You rock.

As for me writing the MGS movie, tell everyone on-line to write to Matt Tolmach at Sony Pictures studios in Culver City. If enough people do this, we may be back on board.

Thanks,

DH

So, get to it! Write Matt Tolmach, tell him that we, the fans, want Hayter to take part in the screenwriting process for their Metal Gear Solid movie. Why? Because he’s shown time and again that he not only is knowledgable about the MGS universe, but that he cares about it.

And hey, he’s better than Uwe Boll, right?
