In news that can best be described as “tragic”, AQ Interactive and Artoon have announced that their colossal trip into the land of epic failure, Vampire Rain is making its way to the PlayStation 3. From the press release:
“We are very excited to bring Vampire Rain: Altered Species to the PlayStation 3,” said Artoon President Naoto Ã…Å’shima. “The incredible power of the PS3, will allow us to give gamers a fully immersive experience. This will include: 5.1 channel audio, over 50 hours of gameplay, extra bonus levels, a lot of completely revamped animations, character interactions and much more.”
Artoon and AQ promise that this version of Vampire Rain, called Vampire Rain: Altered Species will feature a bunch of new bells and whistles that promise to make the game a little less God-freaking-awful.
I know I’m being unfair. Maybe they have addressed some of the glaring AI and camera issues, who knows. But when you consider just how well received the first version of this game was, you may wonder what it was that drove them to even think about bringing it to the PS3 in the first place.
