Uwe Boll Ordered to Pay Distributor $2.1M

I will use this photo until a newer, better photo comes along, dammit!

Uwe Boll, the acclaimed director of such films as Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance and Postal has been ordered to pay $2.1 million for breach of contract, and then talking shit about his distributor.

The distributor who owns worldwide sales rights to his movies.

The Hollywood Reporter, um, reports that a Los Angeles judge ruled in favor of an earlier decision by an arbitrator that Boll owed Fantastic Films (HA!) $2.1 million in damages.

Amongst this $2.1M is $200,000 in libel that will be paid to Fantastic Films International owner Roxane Barbat. According to Barbat, Boll slandered her by writing disparaging emails about her and her company to potential clients.

You know what the worst part of this is? $2.1M is nearly 20x more than what Postal made in theatres. Ouch.
