In all my days covering video games (June will make this my fifth year), I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of a game idea that is as… hell, I’m not even sure of the word I’m trying to find. “Unorthodox”, maybe? I don’t know. Anyways, Ubisoft has announced that they have worked out a deal with Tom Clancy to bring a Tom Clancy MMO to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The announcement was made on Thursday in which they announced that Ubisoft had acquired the full intellectual property rights for all things Clancy.

Ubisoft hasn’t publically released the final price tag for this deal, which all but assures Tom Clancy and Ubisoft remain the bestest of friends. I would assume it was enough to make Mr. Clancy a happy, happy man.
