It seems that the massive success of Grand Theft Auto IV was not enough to stop Take-Two from steaming over the decision from the Chicago Transit Authority to pull the game’s advertisements from its buses, as Take-Two has filed a lawsuit against the CTA.
The lawsuit accuses the CTA of pulling the GTA IV ads without explanation, and is seeking $300,000 in damages, as well as demanding that the advertisements to be run. You see, the original agreement between Take-Two and the CTA was that advertisements for GTA IV would run on the sides of buses (as well as other transit displays) until June. However, following public pressure spawned from a ridiculous Fox News story, the Chicago Transit Authority pulled the advertisements.
We’ll let you know who comes out on top as this story develops.

I don’t see anything wrong with that. If the public complains and doesn’t wnat that advert on the CTA buses than don’t put the ads up. They have every right to do such a thing. This is a free country.
Not when a company pays you $300,000 to run their ads for six weeks. Then you’re contractually obligated.
“If the public complains and doesn’t wnat that advert on the CTA buses than don’t put the ads up. They have every right to do such a thing. This is a free country.”
Really?
I hate seeing ads and banners in general.
Could we take them all down too?
The Transit Authority should either have rejected the ad in the first place, or should not have put their buses up for adspace. Like J. Walker said, once you take the money, you’re the guilty one.
