I’ve had the chance to play through Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, and I have to admit — it ain’t bad. It isn’t by any stretch of the imagination the same quality as the earlier entries in the franchise, but it’s still a fun rental.

One of the things that absolutely suck about the new MK game is that in order to please DC Comics, Midway had to cut back on the gore. This means, of course, that they cut out the Fatalities. Oh, sure. There are still finishers in the game, and Midway still calls them “Fatalities”, but they aren’t Fatalities.

Hell, Midway even censored The Joker’s original Fatality — the only one that was any body awesome — for the American release. Thanks to G4, however, we can see a few more of the deleted fatalities*:
