Street Fighter IV Will Have Online Multiplayer

Let’s do a quick recap of what we know about Street Fighter IV, shall we? Okay. For starters, we know that it is not the fourth Street Fighter, but in fact the umteenth (fifteenth or sixteenth). Secondly, we know that it will combine 2D fighting with 3D visuals, which are cel-shaded. Thirdly, we know that it will see the return of many of our favorites, including Guile, Ryu, Ken, Blanka, Chun-Li and her hands.

Now, we know that there will be online multiplayer.

Speaking in the most recent issue of Famitsu, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono told the world that not only would the console version (and the PC, I assume) would have online multiplayer, but that the home versions would have characters that you won’t be able to find in the arcades.

One of these characters is called “Rufus”, and is supposed to be a rival to Ken… because “Rufus” is a name that makes you tremble in fear.
