Sessler’s Soapbox: Gaming’s New Evil Empire

Yay, Our Lord Sessler has finally returned to us in all his righteous glory. This week, Sessler talks about the “cold war” between super-publishers ActiBlizzard (Activision Blizzard for you complete idiots) and Electronic Arts. Specifically, Sessler discusses how the tides seem to have turned for both Activision and EA and how Activision is dangerously close to turning into the EA of the early 2000s.

Nice shirt. Also, I agree that Activision turning their back on new IPs will ultimately hurt them in the long run. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Activision’s short-sightedness and perceived fear of taking a chance on a new IP will ultimately spoil the franchises that they are milking — hell, it’s already started with Tony Hawk.
