I am going to go ahead and consider this now confirmation that the footage was in fact the real game in motion. Of course I have found another clip of this on YouTube, so I have embedded that for those just checking into this story. Below is my original post with the new video embedded.
As a Wii owner (and lover) since launch, I have been awaiting for many moons any evidence that pointed to Nibris’ Sadness as being a real game, not some joke. Having gone through various stories confirming the game would actually be made or not, including the confirmation that it would be using the Gamebryo Engene made by Emergent (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Sid Meier games like Pirates and Civilization IV). I still was not satisfied until now.
Below is visual proof that someone is actually working on the game (or taking the greatest hoax ever to another level):

I don’t usually post on gaming blogs, but I must this time: Thanks a lot for taking the time and effort to update us.
I’m not much of a gamer. These days, I only wait for 2 to 3 games to come out for Nintendo’s current console, and Sadness has to be one of those.
I don’t usually make blogs, but I became a writer for the sole reason on finding out more information on Sadness. Our day will come, one day.
I’ve got sick of waiting for this and have now sold my wii and jumped over to the 360.
Remeber kids, just cuz the game has been made does not mean its coming out. Many games have been made and dropped…
Always believed in Nibris and sadness. I can’t wait for Fall 2009 and it’s release it looks to be one of the few High quality wii games.
Has anyone had any info as to when Sadness will be released in the U.K.?
Definitely a hoax… a well made one.
But can you tell me where actually the Wii is in that video?
Or where the IR sensor bar is? I can’t see neither of them… In fact the TV seems to be connected to the PC you can see at the right when the camera zooms out.
Too bad because I’m still wanting this game so much!
