Back at Captivate08, Capcom made it very clear that there would be some major news relating to Resident Evil 5 that would be revealed at E3. While there has been rampant speculation regarding the announcement amongst fanboy groups, a tipster dropped me an email with a pretty interesting tidbit.

Acccording to PlayStation Lifestyle, Microsoft has made an offer to Capcom that, should Capcom accept, would make Resident Evil 5 a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360.

Which would suck.

Now, according to this rumor it is unknown if Capcom has accepted Microsoft’s offer, but stresses that Microsoft has, in fact, made an offer and that this would be Capcom’s big E3 announcement.
