Rumor: ‘Max Payne 3′ Being Developed Internally at Rockstar?
I love 1UP and EGM. They have mastered the art of pulling things out of their ass, slapping “RUMOR” onto it and getting away with saying just about anything. However, every once in a while they fuck up and actually get something right — this could be one of them.
According to Quartermann, the long-awaited Max Payne 3 is currently being worked on by Rockstar Toronto. Rockstar Toronto is responsible for The Warriors, as well as both the Manhunt 2 and Bully Wii ports, and the PlayStation 2 port of the first Max Payne.
Interestingly enough, the loose talk to come my way had mentioned that Rockstar Vancouver, the team behind the original Bully, was the studio tasked with developing the next Max Payne.
Either way, Max Payne 3 has been rumored to be in development for months, although the only confirmation regarding the game came from Remedy Entertainment — specifically, that they’re not making it. It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out over the coming weeks.
