When Rock Band was released in Europe, Harmonix made sure to do their part by screwing the Europeans out of every available dime. Sure, while shipping costs of the hardware coupld justify some of the inflated prices, it still doesn’t make the sting any less for the consumers who couldn’t even buy the all-in-one bundle.
Now, it seems, Australia is about to get the same treatment.
Firstly, it seems that Rock Band will finally be available in Australia this October — a month after Rock Band 2 is released in the US. Also, Australia, like Europe, won’t be getting the all-in-one bundle that we got here in the good ol’ USofA.
Oh, and if you wanted the drums, guitar, mic AND game, it’ll wind up costing Australians roughly $400AUD ($380 USD). Almost forgot that.
Maybe it’s just my twisted perception of things, but I can’t help but think that over the past couple of years we have seen more and more developers take some rather douchebag-esque actions. Personally, I blame Gabe Newell and Valve for starting this recent trend, but I won’t get into that right now.
