Sith Lord John Riccitiello, who already has said today that he believes EA will become known as the greatest company ever, also believes that the video game industry has Hollywood “worried”.

[Hollywood] is worried about whether Iron Man the movie is going to get killed by Grand Theft Auto the game.

For once, I have to agree with Riccitiello. I think Hollywood is very worried about the gaming industry. However, while they may be worried about the video game industry, gaming isn’t what is ultimately ruining Hollywood. What IS ruining Hollywood? Bad movies. A lack of original ideas and IPs. This trend of seemingly leaning on other IPs and sequels has made the medium of film stale.

However, personally, I WILL be watching Iron Man. More than once.
