Resistance: Fall of Man was by far the best launch title for the PlayStation 3. In fact, some Sony naysayers say that because of the lack of good software for the PS3, Resistance is still the best game on the console. Either way, it has been confirmed today that Resistance 2, the sequel which will bring the fight to the good ol’ USofA, will be coming to the PlayStation 3 this fall.

Resistance 2 is being developed by Insomniac Games, who are responsible for the highly popular Ratchet & Clank franchise.

This adds another title to the impressive 2008 line-up for the PlayStation 3, which already includes Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5, and many industry insiders believe that Killzone 2 will also be coming to the console in 2008. Only time will tell, but I can hardly wait.
