In news that can only be described as “epically awesome in the most glorious of fashions”, Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi has told real gaming news site Eurogamer that we should all be expecting to hear an announcement about a RE5 demo “relatively soon”, saying:
“We’ll be making an announcement about [a demo] relatively soon.”
But that’s not all, dudes and dolls. Later in the same interview Takeuchi went on to hint that the PlayStation 3 version of the game may not need any sort of installation.
We’re still working on those technical elements in the last couple of months, but we can tell you that if users are dissatisfied with that kind of thing, then it’s certainly something we keep in mind when we develop… We’ll do our best to come up with something that users will not criticize, but love.
Just when I start to think I’m getting over Capcom, they go and pull something like this. As a PS3 owner who is feeling the bind of running out of space on their machine, I can vouch for how convenient not having to donate another 5GB would be. Let’s just hope they can make it happen.
Resident Evil 5 will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 13th, 2009.
