Online Gaming Helps Bust Burglar

A sixteen-year-old Princeton, Minnesota boy was arrested last weekend for stealing, amongst other things, bunches of video games and a PlayStation 3. Sounds pretty simple, right? I mean, burglars get caught all the time, and a lot of underage crooks steal video game systems.

Oh no, the story gets better.

As it turns out, the police were able to trace the stolen goods to the thief after the previous owner of the PlayStation 3 reported that the console was being used. How did he do that? Because the dipshit thief logged onto the PlayStation Network.

After contacting the local Internet Service Provider, police were able to trace the location of the console and after getting a warrant were able to find not just the stolen PS3, but a TV with built-in DVD/VCR, and a ton of DVDs and games.

Oh, and the idiot thief. They found him, too.
